Who we are 

My name is Anna. I am a self-taught baker who has spent countless hours perfecting my sourdough bread and experimenting with unique sweet treats. My wife Liz is the business-minded one who keeps this party rolling smoothly, and together we make a great team.

We've always enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others, and we believe that preparing a meal for someone is an act of love and care. 

 We believe that a homemade sweet treat or warm loaf of bread can brighten someone's day and bring a little bit of joy into their life. Our hope is to share that joy with you through our carefully crafted and made-to-order baked goods. 

Our story

After a successful career selling software together for 10 years, we decided to shift our priorities to focus on doing what makes us happy and being more present in our lives. When we started selling our baked goods during the holiday season, we were overwhelmed by the support and encouragement we received from friends and family. It was then that we realized we had something special.

What's with the name?

You may be wondering, what's up with the name? At Poot's Provisions, we're all about bringing a playful and fun spirit to our handmade goods. The name "Poot" actually comes from one of many silly nicknames that I have come up with for Liz over the years. Despite its unusual origins, the nickname stuck and somehow our friends started referring to  both of us as ‘Poot’ or ‘Poots’ as a couple. When we  were thinking of a name for our home bakery, we knew we wanted something that reflected our playful and lighthearted approach to baking. That's when Poot's Provisions was born. It's a name that not only pays homage to our fun-loving relationship and approach to life but also captures the essence of the homemade, artisanal products we create. We hope that every bite of our handmade treats and baked goods brings a smile to your face, just like the name "Poot" does for us.
